The SKY represents the dream and to PIRATE is to take without asking. That’s the meaning behind the name, and it’s the same energy that drives the brand today.

Sky Pirates was founded in 2012 by musician "Lucky" Lance Fepuleai and illustrator Elliot Francis Stewart. What started out as two friends making a few hand-drawn tees on the side slowly turned into something bigger.

Every design begins with Elliot’s steady analog practice. He works strictly with traditional illustration - pens, paper and paint, keeping the craft honest and by hand. The drawings become prints and the prints move onto clothing.

Sky Pirates isn’t driven by trends or fast fashion. The focus has always been on making things that feel genuine, crafted with care and made to last.

Sky Pirates contributes to our community through collaborations with artists and small businesses, creative gatherings and support for local endeavours.
